Lockwise Locksmiths – A Long History with the Locksmiths Guild of Australia

Lockwise Locksmiths has a connection with the Locksmiths Guild of Australia (LGA) that goes back decades. I first became a member of the Locksmiths Guild of Australia in 1998, the same year I entered the locksmithing trade, although my involvement with the Guild began well before I was a locksmith. My father was heavily involved with the LGA and served as President for a number of years, so the Guild was a regular part of our family and locksmithing business life. As a school student, I would sometimes go along to Guild meetings with my father after school, years before I formally entered the trade. I grew up around experienced locksmiths, industry suppliers, technical discussions and the exchange of knowledge that organisations such as the LGA were built around. Our family’s involvement also coincided with an important period in the development of LGA restricted key systems. My father was serving as LGA President during the period when the LGA LG3 restricted key system was being developed, giving us a first-hand connection with the system and its history. I first joined the LGA myself in 1998 and, while my membership has not been continuous for every year since then, that early involvement and our family’s connection with the Guild form part of the locksmithing experience behind Lockwise today. Lockwise Locksmiths is once again an LGA member, and from our locksmith workshop in Hillcrest, Queensland, we continue to work extensively with restricted key systems, master key systems and controlled keying systems for businesses, schools, commercial properties, property managers and other organisations throughout Brisbane Southside and Logan. That background is particularly valuable when dealing with established LGA restricted key systems, LG3 keys and older master key systems, where understanding the system and its history can be just as important as cutting another key. For us, membership of the Locksmiths Guild of Australia isn’t simply another industry logo displayed on our website. Our association with the Guild reaches back to before I became a locksmith, through my father’s involvement and presidency, my own first membership in 1998 and decades of practical locksmithing experience since. Today, Lockwise carries that experience forward by providing professional locksmithing, restricted key systems, master key systems and commercial key-control solutions from Hillcrest across Brisbane Southside and Logan.Locksmiths Guild of Australia LGA Member – Lockwise Locksmiths
